Hello dear friends,
we can report about a successful deportation-stop: today, the deportation of Yabre Oumarou got cancelled after protest-faxes and phone-calls were sent to Air France and activists talked to the passengers and distributed leaflets at the gate of the Air France flight at Munich airport. As far as we know, there were also some activists in France who had planned to do something for Yabre.
As a next step, we have to struggle for Yabre's immediate release, as he's still kept in prison. We have to know where he is now to be able to organise protest right there. And it would be good to bring out a new fax and press campaign to increase pressure against the responsible Ausländerbehörde in Lingen.
Is there anyone who's ready to prepare the next steps?? In any case, we don't have to lose too much time, as we don't know when the next attempt to deport Yabre will come up!
In any case, to stop a deportation is a great success, let's continue the struggle with courage and solidarity!
